متن کاملQCD analysis of p̄N → γ ∗ π in the scaling limit
We study the scaling regime of nucleon anti-nucleon annihilation into a deeply virtual photon and a meson, p̄N → γπ, in the forward kinematics, where |t| << Q ∼ s. We obtain the leading twist amplitude in the kinematical region where it factorizes into an antiproton distribution amplitude, a short-distance matrix element related to nucleon form factor and the long-distance dominated transition d...
متن کاملThe Scaling Limit of High-Dimensional Online Independent Component Analysis
We analyze the dynamics of an online algorithm for independent component analysis in the high-dimensional scaling limit. As the ambient dimension tends to infinity, and with proper time scaling, we show that the time-varying joint empirical measure of the target feature vector and the estimates provided by the algorithm will converge weakly to a deterministic measured-valued process that can be...
متن کاملLimit Analysis with the Dual Aane Scaling Algorithm
The collapse state of a rigid plastic material with the linearized Mises yield condition is computed. We use an infeasible point variant of the dual aane scaling algorithm for linear programming which is extremely eecient for this large sparse and ill conditioned problem. For a classical test problem we obtain better results than previously, both for the limit load and for the collapse elds, th...
متن کاملBorromean Entanglement Revisited
An interesting analogy between quantum entangled states and topological links was suggested by Aravind. In particular, he emphasized a connection between the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) state and the Borromean rings. However, he made the connection in a way that depends on the choice of measurement basis. We reconsider it in a basis-independent way by using the reduced density matrix.
